Fire safety
Hi. I am Chamel Akl, founder of Akl Elite Corp and today I want to give you a tip on how to protect yourself and save you from a fire.
Well, first the moral:
As much as you take all the preventive measures, you must also be prepared for the mistakes and consequences of others. It’s just like driving a vehicle. You can be very careful, drive slowly and pay close attention to the road, but that doesn’t prevent you from having an accident, simply because of another irresponsible driver. For that reason, you should always use the seatbelt.
Now let’s get to the point:
80% of people who die in fires, die from intoxication due to the smoke produced by the flames.
Many of the people who die burned, die because they get intoxicated first, and not being able to escape, they are burned by the flames.
For example, you can be in a building and your only way out is to take the stairs, but when you leave your apartment the stairs are full of smoke, you will likely be able to walk down or climb three floors without getting intoxicated. The smoke can even irritate your eyes and blind you before being intoxicated. You won’t able to see where you go.
As well as using a seatbelt when driving a vehicle, I would like to recommend that you always have this basic and essential equipment for a fire situation.
